Find the Exact Firearm You Want Through Our Special Order Service
When you walk into a big box sporting goods store, you are limited to whatever happens to be on the shelf that day. At Ernie's Arms Accessories, we take a different approach. Our special order service gives you access to thousands of firearms from dozens of manufacturers through our distributor network. If a specific make, model, caliber, or configuration exists, there is an excellent chance we can source it for you. Whether you are looking for a specific Glock model, a particular Smith and Wesson revolver, a Sig Sauer P365 variant, a Springfield Armory Hellcat, a Ruger 10/22 with specific features, a Henry lever action, a Beretta shotgun, or something more specialized, we will work to find it at a competitive price and have it shipped directly to our FFL location in Oak Lawn, Illinois.
How the Special Order Process Works
Our special order process is designed to be simple and transparent. We believe you should know exactly what to expect at every stage, from the initial inquiry through final pickup.
Step 1: Tell Us What You Want. Contact us by phone at (708) 953-0099, by email, or through our online inquiry form. Provide as much detail as possible: manufacturer, model name, model number, caliber, barrel length, finish, and any specific features or configurations you require. The more specific you are, the faster we can locate your firearm.
Step 2: We Check Availability and Quote a Price. We will search our distributor network to find your requested firearm. Once located, we will provide you with a price quote that includes the firearm cost. We will also discuss estimated delivery timeframes, which typically range from 3 to 14 business days depending on the distributor and current supply conditions.
Step 3: Confirm Your Order. Once you approve the price and terms, we place the order. A deposit may be required depending on the item and price point. We will provide you with order confirmation and keep you updated on shipping status.
Step 4: Pickup at Our Location. When your firearm arrives, we contact you to schedule your appointment. You will need to bring your valid FOID card and government-issued photo ID. We complete ATF Form 4473, submit the NICS background check, and begin the Illinois mandatory waiting period (72 hours for handguns, 24 hours for long guns).

Frequently Asked Questions About Special Orders
How long does a special order take?
Most special orders arrive within 3 to 14 business days. During periods of high demand, supply chain disruptions, or for rare or discontinued models, it may take longer. We will provide realistic timeframes when quoting your order.
Is there a deposit required?
A deposit may be required for certain orders, particularly for higher-value firearms or specialty items. The deposit amount and terms will be discussed when you confirm your order.
Can you match prices from online retailers?
We strive to offer competitive pricing and will work with you to find the best value. Keep in mind that our pricing includes the personal service, compliance handling, and expert guidance that you will not get from clicking "add to cart" on a website.
What if the firearm I want is discontinued or out of production?
We will do our best to locate it through our distributor network and secondary sources. Some discontinued models may still be available as new-old stock. If we cannot find it, we can recommend comparable alternatives.

If something is not right with the firearm, you have someone local who will work with you and the manufacturer to resolve it.
